AI UGC ads are AI presenters and AI footage, with no shoot behind them. Cheap enough to put an opening line in front of a real audience before anyone books a camera. That is the job, and I do not pretend it is a bigger one.
This page exists because people ask, and because most answers oversell. It says what generated footage is good for, where it stops, and how it fits into a sprint alongside a real creator and gameplay capture for mobile game ads. How ad production works and what it costs is on the main page.
Where it earns its place
Testing which promise lands first. On Faction Packed, item ads made with AI reached an IPM of 21, and an AI hook on Horse Racing Solitaire reached an IPM of 15, and IPM is only where the read starts.
Where it stops
When the reaction sells the product. A real person on their own phone still reads as a post in a way generated footage does not, and the ads that scale on the accounts I run are mostly that. So AI footage feeds the test round. It is a way to spend less finding out, and I sell it as exactly that.
- The read shows which opening line or claim pulled ahead on spend.
- If a line won, I would usually put a real creator on it for the finished ad. If nothing won, the written summary says so plainly and sets out what the test ruled out, and the next lines are written from that.
AI footage against a creator on camera
| Use | AI footage and presenters | A creator on camera |
|---|---|---|
| For an app | A generated presenter reading three different opening lines tells you which problem statement people stop for, before a creator films any of them | Someone naming the problem in their own words before anything gets shown |
| For a game | Useful for finding which claim or hook is worth filming, and rarely the finished ad | A reaction, or someone playing and talking over it |
| Creator fee | None | Quoted on top of the Sprint before production, typically €100 to €300 per creator, depending on the creator and the market |

Questions people ask
Will people know an AI UGC ad is AI?
Often, yes, and on a test round that does not matter, because you are testing the line, not the face. For the finished ad I would usually put a real creator on the winning line.
Is the whole Creative Test Sprint AI?
No. Which formats you get is decided by what the account read shows. A sprint is usually a mix.
What comes out of an AI UGC sprint?
A read on which opening line or claim to film properly, from a test that ran next to your existing ads. The written summary says which ones to drop as plainly as which one to keep.
